Published exclusively in PAP! Vol.31 Issue, Ornamental Behaviour draws from Renaissance portraiture and theatrical costume, bringing together a cast of characters shaped by exaggeration and excess. Sculptural hair and expressive makeup lead the transformations, while ruffles, ribbons and corsetry extend the identity of each figure. Draped fabric, boxes and raised platforms create a series of small stages, giving a sense of individual performance. The series explores how beauty, adornment and staging influence self-presentation.
